IP CCTV
IP (Internet Protocol) CCTV has many far reaching benefits.
The application for IP CCTV is two fold.
On one hand, many of our new CCTV systems are installed the traditional way, by using physical Co-axial or CAT5e cabling between the camera and the hard disk recorder. IP comes into play when you wish to view the cameras remotely or utlise our remote CCTV monitoring centre.
The hard disk recorder is connected to either an existing network (LAN/WAN or ethernet) or through a broadband router using a Static IP address or port forwarding), thus enabling you to view the cameras from home, work, or even from your mobile phone. Additionally, older CCTV systems without IP capabilities can piggy back onto one of our network streaming units.
The other application is connecting IP Cameras directly onto a network at various points around a building or at various branches. Our high end software enables you to group all of the cameras either on the network or connected at various locations, and control all of the recording from one central hub.
It sounds complicated, but the end user interface is very simple and highly intelligent.
